Probate Valuations
Sensitive and accurate probate valuations
What's a probate valuation?
When someone has passed away, a probate valuation can be conducted and then used to determine the total value of their estate. This can be used for estate settlement and other legal purposes related to their passing. It also helps calculate inheritance taxes, and the distribution of assets among executors and beneficiaries according to any wills and/or legal requirements in place
What to expect with a probate valuation?
We understand that this can be a difficult time. Once you get in touch with us, we will talk you through the probate valuation process, and what you can anticipate with timelines and next steps.
How do I get a probate valuation?
We provide a confidential service to solicitors, executors, trustees and private clients. Written assessments/inventories can be prepared for insurance, inheritance tax, family division and asset management purposes. A document detailing current market value is invaluable in the event of loss or damage. Irita Marriott Auctioneers and Valuers can also arrange the sale of entire estates or collections. Our charge is £175 for the first hour and £75 for each hour thereafter.
Our probate services include a digital PDF copy of the valuation sent directly to you and any executors with a digital pdf copy sent to your solicitor.
