A late 19th century gilt probably Austrian metal figural mantel clock, the central gothic arched case containing worn silvered dial, mounted on a rectangular plinth style base with Roman soldier to one side and recumbent lion to the other, the front of the plinth "DENKMAL DES LEOPOLD DEM VI HERZOG VOESTREICH ERKAEMPFT DEN NEUN WAPPENSCHILD", on four lion paw feet, s.d., height 16cm x 18.5cm

The figure portrays Leopold VI, The Duke of Austria (ruler 1198-1230)

Missing the central scroll from the top of the arch, the dial has very worn silvering, dusty surfaces, not tested for working, no key.
