A set of four 19th century dark coloured glass decanters of flattened ovoid form, all with stoppers, each painted to the front with a titled portrait of 'Field Marshal Duke of Wellington', 'Admiral Nelson', 'Willem V' and 'Prasident Wassington, the reverse side enamelled with a flower amongst scrolling foliage, each decanter and stopper numbered to undersides in Roman numerals, height 21.8cm, s.d. (4)
Some wear to gilding, especially to tops of stoppers, stooper to Washington decanter has chip to base, a glued repair around the waisted section and a fault around one side, the Washington decanter has a spot of white residue on the foliage and a chipped spot of enamel on one side, the underside has remnants of an old label, Wellington stopper has chips to base, the decanter has a small rim fault, small flea bite to side, Nelson stopper has flea bite to base, decanter is in good order and Willem stopper has a number of chips to the base, the decanter has a few light surface scuffs and patch of wear to paint to the left of the portrait
