Japanese Wakizashi Sword with single edged blade 370mm in length. Copper Habaki collar to blade. Bronze Tsuba guard with gilt decoration featuring Cranes. Bronze Fuchi. Good quality Same Rayskin covered wooden grip with Menuki present under the Tsuka-Ito cloth binding. Two Mekugi bamboo pegs. Tang is unsigned. The Saya scabbard is covered with Same. The scabbard has a Kozuka knife with decorated Bronze handle. The Kogatana blade is signed. Blade length 37 cm and overall length 60cm

NOTES FROM VENDOR Wakisashi's are always single edged: The Tsuba is iron, with decoration: Fuchi-Kashira are Shakudo, not bronze. That is a special treatment of copper, to create a black surface. The Saya (that means scabbard!) is covered in lacquered Same. An unsigned tang is not uncommon - it is less likely to be a forgery. The attribution on the label I gave you, was made by an expert on Japanese swords, who is no longer alive.
