A late 18th century japanned and chinoiserie decorated Tavern or Act of Parliament Clock by John Harris of Keninghall, the circular cream painted 62cm /24 1/2" dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, single train movement with pendulum and weight, the case inscribed John Harris Keninghall above the trunk door with cut ears, decorated with two figures outside a temple, shaped base, height 148cm, max diameter of dial, This clock is featured on the website Tavernicus as having been restored by themselves and suggests this may be the clock made by John Harris for Gissing Hall

The case is in sympathetically restored condition, evidence of splits to dial, some restoration to ears, movement loose to back of dial, comes with pendulum, weight, keys, wooden pegs, movement not seen running
